“Hey there! So, you want to know a little something about me? Well, I could tell you all about my adventures as a senior software engineer, but let’s take a detour from the job talk and delve into the fascinating world beyond work.
When I’m not busy coding away, you’ll often find me with my nose buried in a book. Yes, I’m a bookworm, or at least I used to be before time and work started playing tag with each other. But hey, who doesn’t love a good read?
But that’s not all—I have a hidden talent too. Picture this: a pencil in hand, a blank canvas, and me attempting to create art. Now, I wouldn’t call myself a professional artist, but I do enjoy dabbling in some pencil sketches. It’s therapeutic, and if you squint your eyes just right, you might even recognize what I’m trying to draw.
Now, let’s talk about my love for the open road. I’m a driving enthusiast, especially when it comes to long rides. There’s something liberating about hitting the highway and embarking on a road trip to my hometown, which is a good 140+ kilometers away. The wind in my hair, the tunes blasting on the stereo—pure joy!
Unlike many, I’m not a social media aficionado. I’m just your typical, normal person, not seeking validation through likes and retweets. I prefer good old-fashioned human interaction and connecting with people face-to-face.
Let’s rewind back to my college days. I graduated from SSS College in Vellore and completed my Masters at Panimalar Engineering College in Chennai in 2013. Ah, the memories of job hunting in Bangalore for a few months, until the stars aligned, and I landed an interview with Photon Interactive (or Photon Infotech, as they were known). They took a chance on me, and I’ll forever be grateful for that opportunity.
Early on, I found myself working on a top-secret .NET project for a big-brand shampoo company (we’ll keep the name under wraps). It was like entering a maze—confusing, challenging, and at times, utterly bewildering. Yet, my team supported me through the ups and downs, patiently guiding me as I stumbled my way towards success.
Then, like a breath of fresh air, I transitioned to a CMS SDL Tridion project. Finally, I could flex my creative muscles as I created static content for websites. It felt like having a grown-up version of WordPress, and I was in my element.
But life has a way of nudging us towards new adventures, and soon enough, I found myself yearning for something more exciting. JavaScript came knocking on my door, and I decided to answer. I delved into the world of UI development, learning HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. It wasn’t always a smooth ride, but with time and perseverance, I mastered the art of creating captivating user interfaces.
As fate would have it, I had a friend who interviewed with TCS for the same role I was eyeing. I sailed through the interview process, while my friend’s profile ended up on hold. I received an offer letter but declined it in favor of a job in Bangalore. Talk about coincidences! My friend eventually got selected after I turned down the offer. It was a win-win situation, and I couldn’t be happier.
Moving to Bangalore was like stepping into a whole new world—a vibrant, dynamic city brimming with new experiences. I immersed myself in the culture, explored new places, and met countless new faces. It was a whirlwind of excitement, and I couldn’t help but be in awe of it all.
Over the years, I’ve added many front-end frameworks to my repertoire—Angular, Backbone, you name it. I’ve weathered a few escalations along the way, but that’s all part of the adventure, isn’t it? Eventually, I decided to switch things up and found myself in a fintech company, working alongside some incredible minds. My architect, Praveen Chand, was an absolute legend. His coolness and technical prowess left a lasting impression on me, and I soaked up every bit of knowledge I could.
And now, here I am, working with Msys Technologies, serving the renowned Schneider Electric as a client. It’s been quite the journey, and I can’t wait to see what the future holds.
Well, this is just the beginning of my story. Stick around, and I promise to share more adventures, mishaps, and maybe even a few good laughs along the way. Until then, keep coding, keep exploring, and remember to always embrace the unexpected twists and turns that life throws at you.”
